The Value of Interlinking
Interview with Anne Heintze, the speaker at the First Kmunetwork
Forum in Zurich
Anne Heintze, the CEO of the European
Institute for Knowledge and Value Management A.s.b.l., held
a talk at the Kmunetwork Forum in Zurich on May 12, 2005 stating
that "corporate success doesn’t just come from qualified
technical knowledge aligned with a range of high-quality products
or services. Instead, it's based on the "right" connections
to the "right" decision-makers in the target market."
Long-term sales success is more dependent upon the availability
of information, tips from insiders and access to the important
group of decision-makers. "In my opinion, companies have
to learn to treat people and culture like a precious resource
and see them as a corporate value.
The perfect symbiosis between knowledge and value management
has only been reached when managers become aware of the fact
that it’s people who make knowledge a useful factor. They
need a climate of values, in other words the right corporate
culture. Knowledge management is much too frequently seen as
an issue in information technology (machines and software).
Knowledge is worth less without the basic values that channel
knowledge.”
