Swiss Business Office Opened

The European Institute for Knowledge and Value Management (EIKV) opened a business office in Switzerland on July 1, 2005 with Manuela Stier (the owner of Stier Communications AG) as the director of the Swiss operations. Dr. Urs Frey, the member of management board of the Swiss Small Business Institute at the University of St. Gallen, will take on the scientific management of EIKV Switzerland.

This new Swiss business office means EIKV is now on the ground in another German-speaking country. At the top of EIKV Switzerland’s agenda is sensitising a qualified public sphere for the significance of strategic knowledge and value management.

Manuela Stier, the director EIKV Switzerland, says “EIKV outlines the basic scientific factors in an area that will constitute a strategic factor of success in the future for companies of all shapes and sizes. We pass on this knowledge in the form of specific seminars, conferences and personal consultation as well as counselling decision-makers.»

EIKV Book: Knowledge and Value Management in Theory and Practice

The paradigm change from the industry to the information society has created business models that are rooted in a new way of understanding knowledge and value. Knowledge is transformed into a powerful engine of values and its refinement figures prominently in the corporate production process just as in social consciousness.

The top priority and programme target is accentuating knowledge and values in the name of the European Institute for Knowledge & Value Management (EIKV). Knowledge creates value while safeguarding values.

In turn, values guarantee knowledge – the breeding ground and framework for developing and propagating it without constraints. The anthology that has just come out addresses both decision-makers from the private economy and politics and opinion shapers and disseminators and it's purpose is to raise awareness and get people thinking on these issues. > more

Seminar on March 6, 2006: Strategic Knowledge and Value Management Safeguards Your Competitive Edge

The place to find your future business success is in the heads of your employees. But, how can you transmit their code of values, knowledge and skills to the company so that you get the highest possible benefit from it? And is there any way to measure this benefit?

The European Institute for Knowledge and Value Management A.s.b.l. (EIKV) and Stier Comunications AG are demonstrating how EIKV’s insights can be used in hands-on work and what specific benefits companies can derive from them. The hosting company will provide information on the knowledge and value management practiced by them and what impact it has on their corporate success.
